🎤 GloRilla Speaks Out After Home Invasion Turned Legal Drama: “We Were Victims, Not Suspects”

Grammy-nominated rapper GloRilla is finally breaking her silence after what she calls a “misguided investigation” into a terrifying home invasion that left her and her family shaken — and now facing felony charges.

The Memphis rapper, born Gloria Woods, sat down with Channel 2 Action News for her first TV interview since the break-in at her Forsyth County, Georgia, home. She revealed that while she was performing in Indianapolis during WNBA All-Star Weekend, three armed intruders stormed her home in the middle of the night.

Her family members were inside during the invasion — and one relative even fired shots at the suspects before they fled. Despite over $700,000 worth of items being stolen, GloRilla says the focus quickly shifted to her.

“I feel like me, and my brother and sister, we were victims in this situation,” she said. “But somehow, they’re trying to paint us out to be suspects, and I just feel like it’s all the way wrong.”

Court documents reveal police recovered a large quantity of marijuana inside the home during their investigation. GloRilla was hit with a felony possession charge, voluntarily surrendered, and was released the same day on bond.

Her attorney, Drew Findling, blasted the authorities:

“The most egregious part is that there seems to be no movement whatsoever in this home invasion, but rather, within 24 hours, there were warrants for her arrest for a marijuana possession case. That’s unconscionable.”

Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office insists the burglary investigation is still active and evidence has been sent to the GBI for testing. Still, GloRilla’s legal team says they are now considering launching their own independent investigation to get to the bottom of it.

Back in July, the sheriff called Woods and her family victims of a serious crime and promised justice. But with GloRilla facing charges and no arrests made in the invasion, her team says that promise feels empty.
