Former NFL star Andre Rison is spending the weekend behind bars after being sentenced in connection with a second-offense impaired driving case in Michigan.

According to reports, the former wide receiver was booked into the Oakland County Jail on Friday night and is expected to be released Sunday after serving a short jail sentence ordered by the court.

Court records show Rison pleaded guilty to a second-offense operating while intoxicated charge stemming from an August 2025 incident in Troy, Michigan. Although he posted a $5,000 bond during the case, the court ultimately sentenced him to five days in jail, 18 months of probation, and ordered him to pay more than $2,300 in fines and fees.

An additional charge of open intoxication in a motor vehicle was reportedly dismissed as part of the case.

Rison, now 59 years old, was one of the NFL’s most dynamic receivers during his playing days. Over a 12-year career, he suited up for several franchises including the Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars, Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs, Oakland Raiders and Indianapolis Colts. He earned five Pro Bowl selections and captured a Super Bowl championship with the Green Bay Packers during the 1996 season.
