Fetty Wap Released From Prison Early, Starts 2026 on Home Confinement

Fetty Wap is officially stepping into 2026 with a fresh start — and freedom.

The “Trap Queen” rapper was granted an early release from prison and transferred to home confinement in Philadelphia, according to the Bureau of Prisons. Fetty, who was sentenced in May 2023 to six years behind bars for his role in a drug trafficking case, reemerged publicly on Thursday and immediately showed love to fans through The Shade Room, thanking them for riding with him during his incarceration.

While Fetty is no longer behind bars, he isn’t completely off the radar just yet. Authorities confirmed that he will remain under strict supervision and is scheduled to be fully released from federal oversight on November 8, 2026.

As part of his supervised release, Fetty must follow tight federal guidelines for the next five years. Those conditions reportedly include regular drug testing, a ban on alcohol and intoxicants unless prescribed by a licensed physician, and restrictions on opening new bank accounts without approval. He is also required to report all income and tax records to U.S. Probation.

If ordered by the court, Fetty could also be required to participate in an outpatient drug treatment program and continue submitting to testing even after treatment ends.

The 34-year-old rapper was originally arrested after authorities seized more than 500 grams of cocaine and thousands of dollars in cash. Despite the severity of the charges, the court’s decision to allow an early release signals confidence in Fetty’s progress and ability to stay on track.

Now back home, all eyes are on what’s next for Fetty Wap — whether he chooses to quietly rebuild or make a full return to music.
