🚨 “Family Matters” Star Darius McCrary Arrested Near Mexico Border on Fugitive Warrant — Over Child Support Case Out of Michigan! 😳

“Family Matters” alum Darius McCrary — best known for playing Eddie Winslow — is back in legal trouble. The actor was arrested near the U.S.–Mexico border in California and is currently being held in a San Diego jail after being picked up on a fugitive felony warrant, according to TMZ.

Authorities say McCrary was busted Sunday by U.S. Border Patrol, and online jail records confirm the case is being treated as a “fugitive arrest” — meaning he’s wanted by another state for a serious offense.

McCrary’s rep, Ann Barlow, told TMZ the warrant comes from Michigan, where Darius allegedly missed a court appearance tied to an ongoing child support case.

This isn’t the first time the actor has faced trouble over missed payments. He’s been arrested twice before — once in 2015 and again in 2023 — for failure to pay child support.

McCrary’s messy split from ex-wife Tammy Brawner, a former Harlem Globetrotter, was finalized in 2019 after a two-year legal battle. As part of their divorce settlement, Darius was ordered to pay $1,366 per month in support for their daughter.

While details on his latest arrest are still unfolding, the “fugitive arrest” status suggests he’ll likely be extradited back to Michigan to face the charges.

Fans have been reacting online with shock — many recalling McCrary’s clean-cut TV image and family-friendly role on Family Matters.

So far, neither Darius nor his team have publicly commented beyond confirming the Michigan warrant.
