😱 Dr. Wendy Osefo & Husband Booked on Fraud Charges — RHOP Star Faces 16 Charges Including 7 Felonies 💼🚨

Reality TV is hitting a shocking twist today — Dr. Wendy Osefo of The Real Housewives of Potomac and her husband Eddie “Happy Eddie” Osefo have been arrested and booked on criminal fraud charges in Maryland. 

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Wendy faces 16 total charges, including seven felonies related to false or misleading information fraud in excess of $300. She’s also charged with a misdemeanor count for making a false statement to an officer. 

The couple was booked Thursday night in Westminster, Maryland. 

Officials claim that back in April 2024, Wendy and Eddie reported a burglary at their home while they were out of town in Jamaica. They said designer bags and jewelry were stolen. 

But prosecutors say things don’t add up. They allege that many of the claimed stolen items had been purchased then returned for full refunds before the reported break-in. 

In one of the more explosive claims, Wendy was allegedly seen wearing a diamond ring in an Instagram post — a piece she had claimed was stolen in that same reported burglary. 

They’re also accused of submitting a $450,000 personal property loss claim to insurance. 

Before this legal storm, Wendy was known as one of the more polished and professional cast members of RHOP. She holds a Ph.D., was a professor at Johns Hopkins, and often served as a political commentator and voice on public affairs. 

Her husband, Eddie, is often referred to as “Happy Eddie” and has been building his own brand — including ventures in the cannabis industry. 

Wendy and Eddie have reportedly each posted $50,000 bonds to secure release. 

Their mugshots show them smiling in jail attire — an image that’s already stirred up reactions online. 

This scandal follows on the heels of fellow castmate Karen Huger’s legal trouble, making it a wild season for RHOP. 

As of now, neither Wendy nor Eddie has publicly responded to the charges.
