Diddy Claps Back at Feds Over Mann Act Conviction — Says They’re Using the Wrong Definition of “Prostitution” 👀⚖️
Diddy Wants Acquittal or New Trial, Says Feds’ Definition of Prostitution Is Wrong
Diddy isn’t backing down in his ongoing legal fight. The hip-hop mogul is firing back at federal prosecutors who opposed tossing out his Mann Act conviction, arguing that the government is twisting the law with the wrong definition of “prostitution.”
In new legal docs obtained by TMZ, Diddy’s lawyers urged Judge Arun Subramanian to either acquit him or, at the very least, grant him a new trial. Their stance? Prosecutors are using a 2025 definition of prostitution rather than the original meaning from 1910, when the Mann Act — also known as the White Slave Traffic Act — was passed.
Back then, Diddy’s team argues, “a prostitute was a woman who had sex outside of marriage,” a far broader definition than today’s legal standard of sex for hire.
The defense further claimed prosecutors never truly proved Diddy paid escorts for sex, insisting the men were compensated for their time — while Diddy maintains he was just a voyeur, which he says is completely legal.
This latest motion comes after Diddy was acquitted of racketeering and sex trafficking charges back on July 2, with the jury convicting him only on two lesser Mann Act counts. Shortly after, his legal team moved to have those convictions overturned — a request prosecutors pushed back on.
Now, with Diddy doubling down, the courtroom battle continues. The question is: will the judge give him another shot?
