DC Young Fly Calls Out Rick Ross for Walking Out on 85 South Podcast, Accuses Him of Favoring White Media — Ross Responds

DC Young Fly publicly called out Rick Ross for walking out mid-interview during a taping of the popular 85 South Show, only to later give what many are calling a “respectful and full” interview on a white-owned podcast. While on Rory and Mal podcast, the comedian and co-host didn’t mince words when asked about the moment that has gone viral online.

“We the type of people that we’ll never bring up nothing that we feel like that can be diminished to your career or anything… because we some real niggas,” DC said. “The moment you left our show, you went and did a white podcast. Sat there almost two hours. They asked you if you were a correctional officer — we would’ve never asked you no sh*t like that… Now I feel disrespected. Don’t do us like that.”

Ross caught wind of the comments and quickly issued a response via Instagram Stories, trying to downplay the situation but making sure to set the record straight — in typical Boss fashion.

“Lil bron, listen… I came to your podcast for free, homie. No charge. I didn’t ask about analytics or nothin’. I did it on Face to show love. Don’t act like I walked out — I had other things to do. Rozay had moves to make! But guess what? I wasted that nice-ass Gucci jacket on that look, man. Couldn’t even re-wear it,” Ross said. “And next time, at least have me some lemon pepper Wing Stop ready. I ain’t charge you. I did that outta love. But what is the analytics like? I’ll come back and walk off next time on purpose!”

That only fueled the fire, as DC Young Fly returned fire — respectfully but with a hefty dose of real talk and receipts.

“Ross, big homie. First of all — it’s love. But I gotta call a spade a spade. You said you did it for free? Everybody do it for free! Boosie, T.I., Busta Rhymes, Snoop — all of them sat on that couch for free,” he clapped back.

“You talkin’ analytics? We been doing numbers. Before you came and after. Boosie episode at 8 million. Kountry Wayne? Like 6-7 million. We the biggest podcast in the world, Craig. Don’t act like we needed the clout.”

DC went on to address Ross’ Gucci jacket complaint and the supposed lack of food accommodations:

“If you wore that jacket for no reason, sell it to me — I’ll tell my son I bought it from a nigga who walked out. And don’t talk about the wings — we had 200 Wing Stops in the back, lemon pepper included! You just ain’t stay long enough to eat.”

He finished with a heartfelt but pointed message:

“We respect if you got something to do. Just tell us upfront — ‘Yo, I got an hour.’ Cool, we’ll make it work. Don’t leave without saying sh*t and act like you did us a favor. We called your team after you dipped, and they said, ‘We don’t even know where he went.’

Ross, get out the pool, give me a call, and let’s get this right. I love you, big homie. Everyday we hustlin’.”

As of now, Ross has not issued a follow-up, but fans online are watching closely — and many are calling for Ross to return to the 85 South Show to clear the air in person.
