Looks like the rap beefs aren’t staying in the booth anymore — because Cam’ron just took J. Cole to court over their 2024 collab “Ready ’24.” 👀

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the Harlem legend claims he wrote lyrics and recorded a verse for the track under the agreement that J. Cole would either collaborate on a future project or appear on Cam’s viral sports talk show, “It Is What It Is.”

Cam says the song was originally recorded in 2022, and that between July 2023 and April 2024, he kept in touch with Cole — who allegedly kept saying he was “unavailable” to appear on the show.

Not only did the podcast appearance never happen, but Cam also claims the promised musical collaboration never materialized either.

Now, Cam’ron says he’s been cut out of his fair share of the profits from “Ready ’24” — and wants a judge to declare him co-author of the song. He’s also demanding a full accounting of all earnings, estimating he’s owed over $500,000 in unpaid royalties. 💰

Cam’ron’s lawsuit marks another wild chapter in the ongoing shift of rap drama from studio diss tracks to real-life legal battles.

As of now, J. Cole’s team hasn’t issued a response, but this case could get messy — especially since “Ready ’24” became one of Cole’s most streamed songs of the year.
