Brooke Hogan Responds to Mother’s Tearful Video, Alleges “Extreme Abuse” in Family

Brooke Hogan, daughter of former WWE star Hulk Hogan, has publicly addressed her family’s ongoing tensions in a new statement shared on Instagram, following a tearful video posted by her mother, Linda Hogan, in which she blamed Hulk for their daughter’s eight-year estrangement.

In her lengthy post, the 36-year-old singer and reality TV star described her experiences of “extreme verbal and mental abuse” throughout her childhood, which she claims at times escalated into physical abuse. Although she did not directly name her abusers, Brooke’s statement sheds light on the painful personal experiences that led her to sever ties with both of her parents.

“There was a recent video posted by my mother that was concerning enough for people to send to me, that has made me feel the need to address the tip of a very large iceberg that is my immediate family,” Brooke began, adding that her decision to go no contact with both parents stemmed from how they had treated her throughout her life.

Brooke spoke of the lasting emotional impact the alleged abuse has had on her, claiming, “I have been EXTREMELY verbally and mentally abused since childhood,” and that it often turned physical. She went on to describe how the abusive behavior extended into her adult years, including harsh text messages, public insults, and manipulative tactics that left her emotionally scarred.

The former reality TV star also revealed that she had been manipulated into defending her parents’ actions in public, only to later discover she had been misled. “I’ve watched others benefit financially off my suffering and embarrassment caused by their selfish behavior,” she wrote.

Despite these painful experiences, Brooke expressed deep empathy for her parents’ struggles, stating that her decision to cut ties was not taken lightly. “As much as I understand and have empathy for their own struggles, I absolutely LOVE them with every fiber of my being — which deep down I think they know,” she shared.

Brooke concluded by focusing on her own family, noting that she is now married to retired NHL player Steven Oleksy and is the mother of twin children. “Life is so precious. I want so much to be able to enjoy what’s important… my children and my life I’ve worked so hard to create and protect,” she said, emphasizing her desire for peace and healing.
