Brit Eady Calls It Quits With Husband Mike Cunningham — “I’m Done Faking This Marriage”

Former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Brit Eady is officially closing the chapter on her marriage to Mike Cunningham — but she’s making one thing very clear: the breakup has nothing to do with rumors.

Brit took to social media to announce that she and her husband have decided to part ways, revealing that she’s no longer willing to pretend the marriage is working. In a candid post shared on the final day of the year, Brit explained that she’s choosing peace, happiness, and herself heading into 2026.

“I’m posting this on the last day of 365 to remove this facade of faking like this marriage is going to work,” she wrote. “Everybody can’t come into the next chapter.”

While Brit didn’t sugarcoat her feelings — admitting she “can’t stand” Mike — she was firm in shutting down online speculation. According to her, she is not filing for divorce because of any circulating rumors about her husband’s sexuality.

“And for the record as much as I can’t stand him, we are not going to create a false narrative that I’m walking away because of any fake made up rumors,” she added.

Instead, Brit says the decision comes down to self-preservation and emotional well-being. After years of trying to make things work, she’s choosing happiness over appearances and refusing to carry a relationship that no longer serves her.

“I’m done hurting and I want to be happy in my next chapter,” Brit continued, toasting to “2026 of putting my happiness first.”

As of now, it’s unclear what the legal next steps will be, but Brit’s message made one thing undeniable — this chapter is closed, and she’s not looking back.
