BET Announces “106 & Sports,” a Spin-Off of Iconic “106 & Park” Series Hosted by Cam Newton and Ashley Nicole Moss

BET is taking it back to its roots—this time with a sporty twist. The network has officially announced a brand-new spin-off of the legendary “106 & Park” series, titled “106 & Sports.”

The upcoming show aims to merge the worlds of sports and entertainment, spotlighting top athletes, rising stars, and major cultural moments in the sports world through the lens of hip-hop and Black culture. With a format inspired by the original “106 & Park” countdown style, “106 & Sports” will feature exclusive interviews, game highlights, locker room looks, and interactive segments with fans—both in-studio and online.

Cam Newton and Ashley Nicole Moss are set to host creating the same electric energy that made “106 & Park” a cultural staple in the early 2000s. The two made the announcement after the 106 and Park 25 year anniversary tribute performance at the 2025 BET Awards.

A BET executive said in a statement:

“106 & Sports is the evolution of what our audience has always loved—music, culture, and the figures who are shaping the world both on the mic and on the field. This show will highlight the intersection of athleticism and artistry in a way only BET can.”

Set to air later this fall, “106 & Sports” promises to be more than just a sports highlight reel. With curated playlists, in-depth conversations, viral moments, and appearances from athletes and artists alike, the show is expected to become a go-to destination for sports culture lovers across the globe.
