Angela White Leaves Blac Chyna Behind, Announces Powerful Memoir About Sobriety, Faith & Redemption
Angela R. White is turning the page on one of the most talked-about transformations in entertainment.
The entrepreneur and reality TV star, formerly known as Blac Chyna, has announced the release of her upcoming memoir, Sober Mine: Letting Go of Blac Chyna and Living My Faith, where she opens up about addiction, healing, faith and rebuilding her life.
Before becoming a household name, White worked as a stripper at a popular Miami club and later gained national attention after appearing as Nicki Minaj’s body double in the iconic “Monster” music video. She went on to build successful beauty and fashion businesses while making headlines for her high-profile relationships with Tyga and Rob Kardashian.
But behind the fame, White says she was privately battling alcohol addiction.
In 2022, she made the life-changing decision to get sober. Around the same time, she removed several cosmetic enhancements, dissolved her facial fillers and was baptized, marking the beginning of a deeply personal spiritual journey.
According to the book’s official synopsis, Sober Mine chronicles her battle with addiction while exploring themes of redemption, faith and finding balance after years of living in the spotlight.
“For years, people knew me for headlines, opinions and assumptions, but now they’ll have the opportunity to hear directly from my heart,” White said.
She describes the memoir as more than just a reflection on her past.
“This book is not just a story about where I’ve been, it’s about who God helped me become,” she shared. “There were times I felt broken, lost, ashamed and I would never get another chance.”
White hopes readers struggling with addiction, depression, shame or fear will find encouragement through her story.
“I want people to know that freedom is real, sobriety is possible, forgiveness is available and God can completely transform a person’s life,” she said. “I want them to close this book believing there is hope.”
The mother of two, who shares son King Cairo with rapper Tyga and daughter Dream Kardashian with Rob Kardashian, is also pursuing a degree in divinity training and education as she continues her faith journey.
Sober Mine: Letting Go of Blac Chyna and Living My Faith is scheduled for release on January 12, 2027, and is available for preorder now.
