Halle Berry’s Ex Olivier Martinez Files Restraining Order Over Alleged Attack on Their Son

Halle Berry is facing serious allegations in her ongoing custody dispute with ex-husband Olivier Martinez.

Martinez has filed for a temporary restraining order against Berry, alleging that the actress physically attacked their 12-year-old son, Maceo, during an incident on September 26, according to court documents reported by TMZ and other outlets.

Martinez alleges that Maceo called him after the incident and told him that Berry had physically attacked him and placed him in a chokehold. He claims the incident was not isolated and alleges there had been previous physical and verbal confrontations involving their son.

According to Martinez’s filing, Maceo had been playing a virtual-reality game in his bedroom while Berry was home with her partner, musician Van Hunt. Martinez alleges that an argument began after Berry confronted Maceo about playing the game and escalated into a physical confrontation.

The filing contains additional allegations concerning remarks Martinez says Berry made during past disputes, including statements involving him, money and race. Those claims have not been established in court.

Martinez is asking for sole custody of Maceo and for the court to restrict Berry’s contact with him and their son. However, according to reports, he says he does not want to permanently damage the relationship between Berry and Maceo and wants their son to have space following the alleged incident.

The requested restrictions also include conditions concerning alcohol and substance use during Berry’s visitation, as well as sobriety testing before, during or after visits.

The latest filing comes after years of custody disagreements between the former couple. Berry and Martinez married in 2013, separated in 2015 and finalized their divorce years later. They share joint custody of Maceo.

Berry has not publicly responded to the latest allegations, and the claims made in Martinez’s filing have not been proven in court. The case remains a developing custody dispute.

For now, the focus is on the welfare of their 12-year-old son as the court considers the allegations and the requested custody changes.
