TIFFANY HADDISH PLEADS GUILTY TO GEORGIA DUI — GETS PROBATION, COMMUNITY SERVICE & LICENSE SUSPENSION

Tiffany Haddish has officially closed the book on her nearly five-year-old Georgia DUI case — and she won’t be going back to jail.

The comedian and actress appeared virtually in court Tuesday and pleaded guilty to DUI driving less safe, resolving the case through a plea deal rather than taking the matter to trial.

According to reports, Haddish was sentenced to 12 months of probation as part of the agreement.

Under the terms of her sentence, Haddish must complete a DUI education course and perform 40 hours of community service. She is also required to stay away from drugs and alcohol, with an exception for prescribed medication, and will be subject to testing.

Her driving privileges in Georgia have also been suspended.

Haddish will reportedly be required to periodically check in with probation officials by phone. That requirement is expected to be reviewed after six months.

The case dates back to January 2022, when Haddish was arrested in Georgia on suspicion of DUI after authorities alleged she had fallen asleep behind the wheel.

Haddish’s legal team recently attempted to have the case dismissed, arguing that the lengthy delays had negatively affected her career and personal life. A judge ultimately denied the request.

The Georgia case isn’t Haddish’s first DUI-related legal matter. In 2023, she was arrested in Beverly Hills on suspicion of DUI. She later reached a resolution in that case, pleading to a reckless-driving charge.

Now, nearly five years after the original Georgia arrest, Haddish has resolved the case without additional jail time.

With probation, community service, a DUI course, testing and a Georgia license suspension among the consequences, the comedian will have several court-ordered requirements to complete before putting the matter completely behind her.
