Amerie’s divorce battle with her ex-husband Lenny Nicholson is turning heads after new court documents revealed shocking financial details and bitter accusations from both sides.

According to the divorce judgment, the former couple officially ended their marriage after separating in April 2024 following more than a decade together. Amerie reportedly described the marriage as “irretrievably broken.”

The “1 Thing” singer was awarded primary physical custody of their son, while Nicholson received visitation every third weekend. The court also ordered him to pay $2,298 per month in child support.

Court documents revealed Amerie walked away with ownership of her businesses including Amerie Inc., Cer One Touring and Mi Suk Publishing, along with a 2016 Range Rover.

The judge also ordered Nicholson to return Amerie’s TV tracks and an external hard drive containing music files that were allegedly still in his possession.

But things became especially messy after Nicholson accused Amerie of abandoning him while he was recovering from surgery in 2024.

He claimed he covered over $44,000 in rent and other expenses after the separation while also accusing the singer of taking luxury vacations and spending thousands on cosmetic surgery.

Nicholson also argued he spent more than 20 years acting as Amerie’s manager, performance director and business strategist and claimed he never received full compensation for his work during their marriage.

In the filing, he requested $1.75 million in alleged unpaid commissions along with additional damages for emotional distress and spousal support.

However, the final judgment reportedly listed Amerie’s estimated monthly income at $5,735 while Nicholson’s monthly income was listed at $10,000.
