Busta Rhymes is finding himself in the middle of a legal storm after his former assistant, Dashiel Gables, filed a lawsuit claiming the rap icon assaulted him, underpaid him, and caused emotional harm during his employment.

Gables is expected to speak out publicly during a press conference at Brooklyn’s Columbus Park on Thursday, where he plans to lay out his accusations in detail — including claims of wage theft, physical abuse, and lasting emotional damage.

The tension dates back to an incident in January, when police questioned Busta following a dispute between the two. No charges were filed at the time, but Gables says the event left a lasting impact.

Now, months later, the gloves are off. In a statement to TMZ Hip Hop, Busta Rhymes shot down the allegations completely:

“I have been made aware of the claims made by Dashiel Gables, and I completely and categorically deny these allegations… Apparently, Dashiel has decided to respond to being let go by manufacturing claims against me in an attempt to attack and damage my reputation.”

Busta, who’s currently enjoying major career wins — including receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, finishing the Naked Gun reboot with Liam Neeson, and prepping a new album — says he’s ready to fight back in court.

“I am preparing a countersuit which I am confident will expose this for what it is, an attempted shake-down… Ultimately, I am certain the truth will prevail.”

With the press conference looming, the public is about to hear Gables’ side for the first time — setting the stage for what could be a very messy battle.
