Keshia Knight Pulliam Pays Emotional Tribute to Malcolm-Jamal Warner After His Sudden Death at 54

Keshia Knight Pulliam is mourning the heartbreaking loss of her longtime Cosby Show co-star and friend, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, who passed away suddenly at the age of 54.
Warner, best known for his role as Theo Huxtable, died from drowning on July 20 while vacationing with his family in Costa Rica, his representatives confirmed. The Emmy-nominated actor and Grammy-winning musician leaves behind an influential legacy in television, music, and spoken word.
On Sunday, Pulliam — who played Warner’s TV little sister Rudy Huxtable — took to Instagram to share a moving tribute, posting a video of Malcolm performing on the bass guitar at City Winery in Atlanta.
“A week ago I lost my big brother, but I gained an angel,” she wrote in the caption.
“I love you… I miss you… We got our girls,” — a heartfelt nod to Warner’s wife and daughter, whom he adored.
The bond between Keshia and Malcolm stretched far beyond the screen, with their sibling-like connection evident to fans of The Cosby Show, which ran from 1984 to 1992. Warner’s contributions to entertainment extended beyond acting — he was also a powerful voice in the world of jazz, poetry, and live performance.
As tributes continue to pour in from fans, colleagues, and friends, one thing is clear: Malcolm-Jamal Warner’s legacy will live on through his art, his family, and the hearts of those who loved him.
