Diddy’s Legal Team Requests $1 Million Bail Following Federal Conviction

Published

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ attorneys have formally submitted a $1 million bail request to Judge Arun Subramanian following the music mogul’s conviction on two federal counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. The jury found Combs not guilty on the more serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering (RICO), but the guilty verdict carries serious consequences—and now his legal team is seeking his release pending sentencing.

The proposed bail package includes several conditions aimed at securing Combs’ compliance and ensuring he remains under court supervision:

  • A $1,000,000 bond
  • Co-signed by Combs himself, along with his mother, sister, and the mother of his eldest daughter
  • Strict travel restrictions limiting Combs’ movement to the Southern District of Florida, Central District of California, and Southern District of New York for legal purposes, including court appearances and attorney meetings. Travel to the Eastern District of New York and the District of New Jersey would only be permitted for transit through area airports.
  • Surrender of Combs’ passport to Pretrial Services
  • Drug testing as required by Pretrial Services
  • All other standard pretrial supervision conditions

The request comes amid growing public scrutiny and legal uncertainty for the hip-hop mogul, who has faced a string of lawsuits and investigations over the past year. Although the jury acquitted Combs of sex trafficking and RICO, the conviction on prostitution-related charges represents a major legal setback—and could carry significant penalties.

Judge Subramanian is expected to review and rule on the bail proposal in the coming days. If approved, Diddy would be released under tight supervision as he awaits sentencing.
