Ray J APOLOGIZES to Sexyy Red for Claiming They Slept Together

Ray J is walking back his viral comments about Sexyy Red after claiming the two had slept together — a statement he now admits was completely out of line and untrue.

In a recent livestream, Ray J issued a public apology to the rising rap star, clearing the air about what actually happened and taking full accountability for what he called “trolling at the highest level.”

“So first and foremost, I wanna apologize to Sexyy Red,” he began. “Sexyy Red is one of my favorite artists.”

Ray J explained that the two had randomly encountered each other on a flight and ended up seated next to one another. “She had her space. I had my space. She had her own blanket, her own pillow. I had my own blanket and my own pillow,” he said. “We had a long flight. We both were tired, so we just went to sleep — just like you would with anybody sitting next to you on a plane.”

He admitted that he later exaggerated the situation for entertainment, making it seem like something more had happened between them. “I went out of control, and I said that I slept with Sexyy Red. That’s insensitive, and it’s not okay. It was childish. It was uncalled for.”

Ray J emphasized that he regrets the impact of his comments, especially since clips of the false claim circulated widely without the later clarification. “I hope this gets out there and gets clipped and shown, because what I said was wrong,” he said. “My bad, Sexyy.”

As of now, Sexyy Red has not publicly responded to the apology.
