Apollo Nida Hit With Divorce Papers by Sherien Copes, Accused of Adultery and Cruel Treatment

Apollo Nida, the ex-husband of Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks, has been served with divorce papers by his current wife, Sherien Copes, who accuses him of adultery and cruel treatment. According to court documents obtained exclusively by In Touch, Sherien filed for divorce on February 7, 2025, citing an irretrievably broken marriage and claiming there was no hope for reconciliation.

In her filing, Sherien, 46, listed their marriage date as October 14, 2022, and the separation date as November 1, 2023. She claims that Apollo repeatedly committed adultery throughout their relationship and subjected her to emotional and physical abuse. Sherien further alleges that Apollo “intentionally and continually deserted” her for over a year, and refused to seek professional help for his mental health issues.

Sherien is not seeking alimony and is requesting the division of marital property and debts. She also included an alleged settlement agreement, signed by both parties in October 2024, which calls for them to continue living in the marital home until they both find new residences. The agreement includes a permanent restraining order against Apollo, preventing him from harassing or stalking Sherien.

Apollo has denied the allegations, telling In Touch that much of the language in the documents is false and that they will address the matter in court. The legal battle between the couple follows a volatile incident in March 2024, when Apollo was arrested on charges of simple assault after an altercation with Sherien. She accused him of pulling her hair and pushing her against a refrigerator, while Apollo claimed the argument centered around a dispute over a phone.
