Remy Ma’s son Jayson Scott Has Been Charged With First Degree Murder
Rapper Remy Ma’s 23-year-old son has been arrested in connection with a 2021 fatal shooting in Queens, according to the NYPD on Wednesday.
Jayson Scott and another man, Richard Swygert, 22, were apprehended on first-degree murder charges Tuesday night, three years after the daylight shooting of 43-year-old Darius Guillebeaux.
The victim was shot in the head and chest at the intersection of 148th Street and Rockaway Boulevard in Springfield Gardens on June 7, 2021.
Police are still investigating the motive for the killing, with sources indicating that a dispute may have preceded the incident.
It is not yet clear if Scott or Swygert had any prior connection to the victim.
In addition to the murder charge, both men face charges of criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment, police said.
