Tyrese Might Be Headed to the Slammer — Ex-Wife’s Lawyers Want Him Locked Up Over $500K in Unpaid Legal Fees!

Tyrese Gibson and his ex-wife Samantha Gibson may have finalized their divorce years ago, but the fallout from their split is far from over — and this time, it’s about money and jail time.

According to new legal documents, Samantha has filed a fourth motion demanding the court hold Tyrese in criminal contempt for allegedly refusing to pay $492,651.99 in outstanding attorney fees owed to The Gleklen Law Firm and Bloom Lines Alexander. The total includes mounting interest that’s pushed the balance to just shy of half a million dollars.

Samantha’s legal team isn’t playing around — they’re asking the judge to throw Tyrese in jail for up to 20 days as punishment for blowing off the hefty tab.

Tyrese and Samantha were married in 2017 and welcomed a daughter, Soraya, before officially divorcing in 2020. Though Samantha later admitted during a 2023 podcast that the divorce may have been premature, her lawyers aren’t extending that same grace when it comes to their unpaid legal bill.

This marks the fourth time Samantha’s attorneys have gone to court trying to collect the debt — and now, they’re turning up the heat, pushing for jail time if Tyrese doesn’t settle up.

As of now, Tyrese has not publicly responded to the latest legal filing.
