What started as a lyrical face-off turned into a full-on fitness feud between Harlem rapper Jim Jones and NFL Hall-of-Famer Shannon Sharpe. During a recent episode of Nightcap, co-hosted by Sharpe and Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, the two engaged in a heated debate over music—and it escalated quickly.

Sharpe called out Jones for claiming he’s a bigger artist and better lyricist than Nas in 2025. But instead of letting it stay lyrical, Sharpe pivoted to a physical challenge: meet him in the gym.

Jones didn’t hesitate to accept—and took the challenge to Instagram. In a video showing him doing resistance band pull-ups, the Dipset veteran fired back:

“Ayo Shannon, did you workout today? Talking all that sh*t… I do warrior sets. These pullups with resistance bands, bro. Can you even lift your own body weight?”

In the caption, Jones pushed the stakes even further, tagging Sharpe and asking Ochocinco to referee a private training session, since Sharpe allegedly prefers to work out off-camera.

“U gone talk like a podcaster or u gone walk Wht u talk cause my sneakers tied… We don’t duck no challenges size don’t matter where I’m from. Run it.”

Sharpe had initially invited the challenge himself, saying:

“Come see me in the gym! Since you got money, put your money where your mouth is.”

Jones fired back with confidence:

“If you’re talking about working out, I’ll burn you.”

Sharpe dismissed Jones as “too small” and “not even in my league,” to which the rapper replied that he weighs 195 pounds and is “Young David to all Goliaths.”

The playful yet intense back-and-forth is drawing attention online, with fans split on who would come out on top in a real gym session. While some scoff at a rapper challenging a three-time Super Bowl champion, others point out Sharpe issued the challenge—and Jones just accepted.
