Shannon Sharpe “Apologizes” to Nicki Minaj After She Disses Him on “Banned From NO” Remix

Shannon Sharpe sent an apology to Nicki Minaj after the rap queen fired off a lyrical shot at him on her new feature for Lil Wayne’s “Banned From NO” Remix.

In the song, Nicki raps:

“‘Bout to cop you slides, all you do is flip-flop / If I send a pic of Shannon, you ain’t that Sharpe.”

The line appears to be a direct response to comments Sharpe made in 2024 after an X (formerly Twitter) user suggested Nicki appear on his popular podcast Club Shay Shay. Sharpe responded dismissively, tweeting:

“Nicki who?”

That snub didn’t go unnoticed, and Nicki clearly took the opportunity to clap back on wax. Now, on a recent episode of Nitecap, Sharpe addressed the situation and offered an apology—of sorts.

“I apologize, Nicki. That was not my intent,” he said. “I thought they were talking about Nicki Haley. And I was like, Nicki who? Why the hell would she want to come on my pod?”
