Offset is back in the headlines β€” this time over a new civil lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, accusing the Migos rapper of assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

According to court documents obtained by multiple outlets, a man identified as Sanchez claims that Offset assaulted him during a confrontation in March 2025. The alleged altercation reportedly took place after Sanchez asked the rapper to provide identification β€” a request that allegedly sparked a heated exchange.

The suit claims Offset β€œbecame aggressive, verbally confrontational, and struck the plaintiff in the face,” before members of his entourage allegedly joined in. Sanchez says he suffered head and neck injuries, requiring emergency medical attention after being taken to a nearby hospital by paramedics. He’s now seeking unspecified compensatory and punitive damages.

Offset’s camp, however, is calling cap on the entire situation. 🚫 His representatives told TMZ that the altercation began only after the security guard acted hostile, allegedly spitting toward the rapper and charging at him. Sources close to Offset insist he threw one punch in self-defense, claiming the security guard then responded by spraying mace at him and his team.

Legal experts say the case could come down to self-defense laws β€” if Offset’s team proves he acted in response to an imminent threat, the lawsuit may not hold up. But if the court finds his reaction was excessive, the guard could win damages.

So far, neither Offset nor the plaintiff’s lawyers have issued new statements, and no court hearings have been scheduled.

This latest lawsuit adds to a string of legal drama surrounding celebrity security encounters, proving that even one heated moment in the spotlight can turn into a courtroom showdown.
