Offset Hit With Another IRS Lien — Now Owes Over $2.3M in Back Taxes Amid Split From Cardi B 😬💸

Offset’s money problems just went from bad to worse — the IRS has hit the rapper with another major lien, pushing his total unpaid tax bill to over $2.3 million, according to Us Weekly.

On October 15, the Internal Revenue Service filed a federal tax lien accusing Offset (real name: Kiari Cephus) of owing $486,426.35 for the year 2023 — just months before his public split from Cardi B.

This new hit adds to a growing list of financial woes for the former Migos member. Earlier this year, in April 2024, the IRS filed another lien claiming he owed $1.57 million in taxes for 2022, and in March 2021, the Georgia Department of Revenue tacked on an additional $292,000 debt from 2021.

Between all three years, Offset’s alleged tab now stands at $2,353,692 — and according to records, none of the liens have been released.

To make matters worse, Offset is also fighting a $232,000 court judgment stemming from an alleged assault at a Florida strip club in 2021. Two men, Leamsy Izquierdo and Humberto Crespo, claim they were attacked by Offset after someone sprayed champagne on Cardi B during a night out. A Miami judge ruled against him in late 2024, but Offset has since filed paperwork to overturn the default judgment, claiming he was never properly served. A hearing is scheduled for February 2026.

Meanwhile, Cardi B hasn’t been holding back on the details of their messy divorce. In a fiery post on X (formerly Twitter), the “Bodak Yellow” rapper revealed that the only reason she’s still legally married is because Offset allegedly wants her to cover his tax debt and hand over one of her properties as part of the divorce deal.

“The only reason why I’m still married is because somebody wants me to pay for their taxes,” Cardi said. “I’m practically being held hostage if I don’t give them millions to get out of it.”

Cardi filed for divorce in July 2024, ending their seven-year marriage. In a September sit-down with Gayle King, Cardi said, “I just wish he was a better person. But it is what it is. Be a better person for your kids.”

The pair share three children — Kulture (7), Wave (4), and Blossom (1) — while Cardi recently announced she’s expecting baby number four with NFL star Stefon Diggs.

For Offset, between tax trouble, legal drama, and divorce court, it’s looking like a long road ahead before he gets his financial and family situations back on track.
