Lil TJay Reveals 50 Cent’s Advice After He Was Shot Seven Times
Lil TJay whose real name is Tione Jayden Merritt, was shot at 14 The Promenade, an NJ shopping plaza. After recovering from emergency surgery he revealed he had been shot seven times. During an interview with Rolling Stone he revealed 50 Cent reached out to give him some words of encouragement.
“Every artist needs pain or something to feed off of, This right here, you shake this sh*t off. You got the length for greatness. You going to be bigger than ever.”
In 2000, 50 Cent was shot nine times and survived. However, it was the main fuel behind his successful music career and his debut classic album, Get Rich Or Die Tryin’.
