Lil Nas X Locked Up After Wild L.A. Street Incident — Judge Won’t Hear Bail ’Til Monday!

Lil Nas X won’t be walking free anytime soon after being taken into custody in Los Angeles this week. Authorities confirmed the “Old Town Road” hitmaker will stay behind bars until at least Monday, when a judge is expected to review his case and decide on bail.

The situation went down in the early hours of Thursday morning on Ventura Boulevard. Around 4 a.m., drivers spotted the rapper drifting through the middle of the street. One witness even caught him on video pointing at the camera, rambling about going to a party, and balancing a bright orange traffic cone on his head.

Police officers pulled up shortly after. But when they tried to approach, Lil Nas X allegedly ran straight at them. Officers restrained him, placed him in handcuffs, and called paramedics who suspected he might be suffering from an overdose. He was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation before being officially booked into jail.

Because he was arrested on suspicion of battery on a police officer, his case automatically requires a court appearance. Unlike minor charges where you can post bail right away, this is considered more serious, meaning a judge must set the terms. With a court backlog, the earliest he’ll see a judge is Monday.

So far, Lil Nas X’s team hasn’t released any statement. For now, fans and the industry will have to wait and see what happens next.
