Gunna Accused of Having Nurse Attempt to Smuggle Drugs Into Jail
On July 8th Gunna was denied bond again and must remain behind bars until his trial begins in January of 2023. However, there were other things being brought up. Prosecutors say a nurse attempted to smuggle in a bag full of drugs on May 14. When a deputy confronted her, she dropped the drugs and ran off.
In court Thursday, prosecutors claimed that some of the drugs were intended for Gunna. The rapper’s lawyer claims the allegations are false.
“All they’re looking for is their son to get a fair shake, and they don’t think that’s happening so far,” attorney Steve Sadow said when describing the reaction of Gunna’s parents to the judge’s decision to deny their loved one’s request for bond.
