GloRilla Sued Over “Natural, No BBL” Lyric by Social Media Influencer Claiming Song Theft

GloRilla may have kept it all-natural when it comes to her body — but a new lawsuit suggests her lyrics might not be as original. Social media influencer Natalie Henderson, known online as @slimdabodylast, has filed a lawsuit in a Louisiana court accusing the Memphis rapper of copying her catchphrase “natural, no BBL” in the track Never Find.
According to the complaint, Henderson claims she popularized the phrase long before GloRilla released the song and argues that the rapper’s use of it is more than coincidence.
“There are unmistakable similarities between the two works,” Henderson’s attorney told Billboard. “Based upon a side-by-side comparison of the two songs, a layperson could hear similarities in the lyrics, arrangement, melody, core expression, content, and other compositional elements in both songs and conclude that the songs are essentially identical.”
As of now, GloRilla has not issued a public response to the lawsuit.
