Tank Touches Down After Jail Stay — Gervonta Davis Posts Bond in Miami DV Case

Boxing superstar Gervonta “Tank” Davis is back out after a brief stay behind bars.

According to ESPN, the undefeated champion was released from a Miami-Dade County jail after posting an $8,500 bond. Davis was arrested Wednesday following a two-week search conducted by the Miami Gardens Police Department in coordination with the U.S. Marshals Service. Authorities ultimately located him in the Miami Design District before taking him into custody.

Tank was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center later that night.

The arrest stems from an alleged incident that occurred on October 27. Law enforcement officials say Davis is accused of assaulting and restraining his ex-girlfriend at a Miami-area strip club and allegedly preventing her from leaving the venue.

As part of his release conditions, Davis has been ordered to have no contact with the complainant while the case moves forward.
