Fugees’ Pras Hit With 14 YEARS Behind Bars! 👀🔥 Judge Says He Showed ‘No Remorse’ in $64M Conspiracy Case

Prakazrel “Pras” Michel — Grammy-winning rapper and founding member of the legendary Fugees — has officially been sentenced to 14 years in federal prison for his role in an international conspiracy scheme that has rocked the industry and political world for years.

The sentence was handed down Thursday, November 20, just weeks after a federal judge ordered Pras to pay $64 million in forfeiture to the U.S. government — one of the largest financial penalties ever imposed on a hip-hop figure.

Pras’ spokesperson, Erica Dumas, released a statement to Complex following the announcement, emphasizing that the rapper isn’t giving up:

“Throughout his career Pras has broken barriers. This is not the end of his story. He appreciates the outpouring of support as he approaches the next chapter.”

But the judge didn’t mince words in the courtroom.

He told Pras directly that he is “well educated but very arrogant” and expressed concern that the rapper showed “no remorse” for his actions.

Pras is scheduled to surrender on January 27, 2026, marking the start of a long sentence connected to foreign lobbying, political donations, and global money schemes that prosecutors said stretched from Hollywood to Washington to overseas power players.

The sentencing closes another dramatic chapter in the fall of one of hip-hop’s most influential but enigmatic artists — while sparking conversation about what truly led Pras down this path.
