Brooklyn rapper Fivio Foreign, born Maxie Lee Ryles III, has pleaded guilty to third-degree terroristic threats in a New Jersey court, stemming from a New Year’s Day incident where he allegedly pointed a gun at a woman seeking assistance with her car. The plea deal is expected to lead to the dismissal of four other charges, including unlawful possession of a weapon and aggravated assault.

Fivio has been incarcerated since his arrest on January 18, 2025. His attorney, Adam Lustberg, expressed hope that the court will consider time served and grant probation during the sentencing scheduled for August.

The incident occurred in Edgewater, New Jersey, when a woman approached Fivio for help jumpstarting her car. According to police reports, he allegedly brandished a firearm and warned her, “If I see you parked in front of this building again, there is going to be a f****** problem.”

Surveillance footage reportedly corroborated the woman’s account, and witnesses identified Fivio at the scene.

This legal development adds to a series of controversies surrounding the rapper, including a 2024 incident where he posted a video depicting drug use, which drew significant public criticism.
