👀 Drake Wants Kendrick’s Full Contract, Lucian Grainge’s Emails & Even Dirt on DV Claims in Wild UMG Lawsuit Move 📄🔥

The internet is buzzing — and dragging — Drake over his latest demands in his high-profile defamation lawsuit against Universal Music Group.

If you’ve been anywhere near Hip Hop news this year, you already know the 6 God filed suit over Kendrick Lamar’s Grammy-winning diss track Not Like Us. As part of the case, UMG turned over Kendrick’s Interscope contract — but with so many black bars, Drake’s team says it was “virtually unreadable and incomprehensible.”

Now, Drizzy is asking the court to force UMG to hand over more than just the clean version of the contract. His legal team wants texts and emails from UMG’s powerful CEO Lucian Grainge, claiming Grainge was directly involved in the marketing and promotion of Not Like Us when it dropped.

But the OVO boss’s demands don’t stop there. Drake is also looking for any corporate records tied to the paternity and domestic violence allegations he lobbed at Kendrick during their heated summer feud. UMG, which happens to represent both artists under separate divisions, has denied any wrongdoing and dismissed Drake’s claims as baseless.

The move has sparked heavy debate online, with fans split between those who think Drake is “playing chess” and others saying he’s officially gone too far.

With the court yet to rule on these requests, the case is shaping up to be one of the messiest music industry battles in recent memory — and Hip Hop Twitter is eating up every update.
