Drake knows exactly how to get the internet talking without giving too much away.

After spending the past few days teasing a mysterious new project titled “FOMO,” short for “Fear of Missing Out,” the Toronto superstar has officially given fans a date to circle.

On Thursday, Drake announced via Instagram that he will host a FOMO livestream on YouTube on September 15 at 9 PM ET, adding another layer of mystery to a rollout that has already sparked plenty of theories online.

But the biggest question remains: What exactly is FOMO?

So far, Drake hasn’t confirmed whether FOMO is an album, a tour, a new creative project or something completely unexpected. And knowing Drake, keeping everyone guessing may be part of the plan.

The announcement immediately sent fans into speculation mode, especially as Drake has previously used YouTube livestreams as part of his ICEMAN rollout. His latest teaser also included a palm tree emoji, another cryptic detail that has fans attempting to connect the dots.

Whatever FOMO turns out to be, Drake has successfully accomplished one thing before the livestream even begins: he has people paying attention.

The possibility of another musical release would make the announcement even bigger considering Drake has already kept a heavy release schedule throughout 2026. But until he says it himself, the album theories remain just that — theories.

For now, all eyes are on September 15 at 9 PM ET.

And with a project called Fear of Missing Out, something tells us Drake knows exactly what he’s doing.
