📺 Damon Dash Lands BET Deal for New Talk Series “OG Stories”

Hip-hop mogul Damon Dash is bringing his storytelling and cultural perspective to television with a brand-new series.

BET has officially given the green light to OG Stories, an original talk show created and hosted by Dash.

The upcoming series will feature the Roc-A-Fella co-founder sitting down with individuals from his inner circle and network of cultural figures, though the names of the guests have not yet been revealed. The show is expected to premiere on BET this spring.

According to the network, the series will focus on conversations with “OGs, cultural architects, street legends, and self-made bosses” who built success from the ground up. Through in-depth interviews and cinematic storytelling, Dash will highlight the mindset, experiences, and life lessons of people who helped shape culture and their communities.

BET describes the show as an unfiltered docuseries centered around real-life stories about survival, entrepreneurship, and breaking generational cycles.

Dash said the project is very personal to him and compared it to a real-life version of the classic street film Paid in Full, which was loosely inspired by figures from the hip-hop world.

“I want to thank BET, Louis Carr and Brian Rikuda for believing in the vision and giving this show a home,” Dash said in a statement. “OG Stories is really my Paid in Full, a depiction of real life and real people I know.”

He added that the show will highlight friends and peers who “built something out of nothing” and earned the wisdom that comes with their journeys.

The series is created and directed by Dash under The Dash Group LLC, with Jason Harvey serving as an executive producer. Nicolette Durham will work as associate producer, while Josh Pyzynski will handle cinematography and editing alongside a team that includes Pierre Adams, Michael Coleman, Julian Ramirez, and Molly Menchen.

Music supervision for the show will also be handled by Dash and Durham.

With the project set to debut later this year, fans are curious to see which influential figures from hip-hop, business, and street culture will appear on the show once the guest lineup is revealed.
