As Sean “Diddy” Combs braces for his federal sentencing this week, his former partner Cassie Ventura has stepped forward with a victim-impact letter that lays bare the trauma she says she’s endured from their decade-long relationship.

In the three-page statement addressed to Judge Arun Subramanian, Cassie described her time with Diddy (2007–2018) as “the most traumatic and horrifying chapter of my life.” She accused the Bad Boy Records mogul of subjecting her to violence, coercion, threats, and career control throughout the relationship.

“I still suffer from nightmares and flashbacks on a regular, everyday basis,” she wrote, adding that she continues to undergo therapy to cope with the lingering effects. Cassie also revealed that she’s had to move out of New York and keep her personal life extremely private, citing fears for her and her family’s safety.

“Should he walk free, I fear not only for myself, but for anyone who has spoken out,” she warned in the letter.

Combs was convicted in July on two counts of violating the Mann Act for transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution. However, he was acquitted of more serious racketeering and sex trafficking charges.

Federal prosecutors are pushing for a sentence of 135 months (over 11 years), pointing to the harm caused to victims like Cassie. Meanwhile, Diddy’s legal team is fighting for a much lighter punishment, requesting no more than 14 months behind bars.

Diddy’s sentencing is set for October 3, 2025 — a pivotal day that could determine whether the hip-hop mogul spends over a decade in federal prison.
