👀 Cardi B Civil Assault Trial Kicks Off — Former Security Guard Testifies Rapper Spit, Slapped & Humiliated Her

The courtroom drama is heating up as testimony began Monday in the civil assault trial against Cardi B.

Former security guard Emani Ellis took the stand, accusing the Grammy-winning rapper of a violent and humiliating confrontation back in 2018. Ellis says Cardi, who was about 4 months pregnant at the time, lashed out at her inside a Beverly Hills medical building where Ellis was working.

According to Ellis, Cardi turned aggressive after hearing her name. “She turned back around and the first thing out her mouth was, ‘Why the fck are you telling people you seen me?’”* Ellis testified.

She claims Cardi jabbed a finger in her face, hurled racial and body-shaming slurs, threatened to beat her up, and even spit on her. Ellis told jurors she walked away with a facial cut from Cardi’s fingernails, along with long-lasting anxiety, PTSD, depression, and insomnia.

During cross-examination, Cardi’s lawyer Peter J. Anderson pointed out inconsistencies in Ellis’ story — questioning the location of her alleged injuries, the lack of immediate photos or medical records, and her history of lawsuits following unrelated car accidents.

Ellis admitted she didn’t sue Cardi right away because she was “emotionally overwhelmed.” She didn’t file until 2020, two years after the incident.

Jurors even got the chance to ask Ellis their own questions — including whether cameras were present in the elevator and the timeline of her injury photos.

Ellis also revealed she has since moved on from security work and is now employed as a social worker helping low-income families.

Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Almánzar, is expected to testify Tuesday.

This trial could prove pivotal as Ellis pushes her case forward, while Cardi fights to protect her reputation.
