Brian McKnight Sues Jaguar Wright for Defamation Over Explosive Abuse and Prostitution Claims

R&B singer Brian McKnight has filed a defamation lawsuit against fellow artist Jaguar Wright, accusing her of making false and damaging allegations about him on social media, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ.

The lawsuit claims that Wright publicly accused McKnight of hiring prostitutes and physically abusing them during sexual encounters—claims he vehemently denies. McKnight insists that these incidents never occurred and that Wright’s statements were entirely fabricated.

In addition to the prostitution allegations, McKnight says Wright falsely painted him as an abusive husband to his ex-wife, Julie McKnight. Wright reportedly claimed Julie was her cousin, a detail Brian disputes, saying he was unaware of any family connection between the two and maintains he was never abusive in that relationship.

Wright, known for her controversial and often incendiary public statements, has previously made waves by accusing high-profile celebrities like Jay-Z and Beyoncé of egregious misconduct. She appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored, where she suggested the Carters had “more victims than Diddy.” Following backlash and reported legal pressure from the Carters’ team, Morgan issued a public apology for airing the interview.

In this latest legal battle, McKnight argues that Wright knowingly lied about him and used her social media platform to destroy his reputation. He is seeking monetary damages for emotional distress and harm to his personal and professional life.
