Bobby Shmurda Apologizes to Fans After Canceling ‘Still Alive Tour’ Amid Low Ticket Sales and Management Dispute
Rapper Bobby Shmurda has officially canceled his upcoming “Still Alive Tour,” which was set to commence on May 15, 2025. In an Instagram post, Shmurda apologized to fans and took “full responsibility” for the cancellation, while also attributing the situation to alleged mismanagement by his booking agent, Philip Stengel, and manager, Sergio Patillo.
The cancellation has been surrounded by controversy, with reports indicating that the tour faced extremely low ticket sales—averaging just 10 tickets per city. Stengel addressed these claims on Instagram, stating, “Let’s be clear: the tour was canceled because average ticket sales across markets were 10 per city. That’s not viable under any circumstances—no matter the artist or budget.” He emphasized that the issue was not due to promotion but rather a lack of demand.
In response, Shmurda shared screenshots of heated exchanges with Stengel and Patillo, expressing frustration over the handling of the tour’s promotion and logistics. He advised fellow artists to maintain control over their work, stating, “Don’t leave nothing in no one hands… Nobody’s gonna treat your work like it’s you.”
The “Still Alive Tour” was scheduled to run through June 19, 2025, covering 19 cities including Boston, Houston, Los Angeles, and Washington D.C. With the tour now canceled, fans are left disappointed, and the incident serves as a cautionary tale about the complexities of tour management and the importance of demand forecasting in the music industry.
