On July 7, fitness influencer Blake Sanburg — known online as @thenutritionnarc — posted a video analyzing the rapper’s physique, suggesting he may have undergone ab etching surgery or used performance enhancers to achieve his defined six-pack.

Sanburg compared recent photos of Sean to older images and pointed out the drastic difference, theorizing that the transformation may not be entirely natural. He floated the idea of surgical intervention or steroid use but also noted that Sean could just have “interesting genetics.”

As the video gained traction online, Big Sean didn’t hesitate to jump into the conversation. He responded directly in the comments:

“Bro, unfortunately mine are real lol.”

He dismissed the speculation with humor, adding, “Everybody’s body is different,” and joked that when he’s not in shape, he looks like a “chewed up tootsie roll.” Sean also admitted he typically wouldn’t respond to such talk but felt the need to clear things up as the rumors spiraled.

Sanburg later revealed that Sean reached out to him privately as well. In a message shared by the influencer, Sean wrote:

“I just gained Dad weight n had to crack down on working out as I got older bro. So my body has gone thru a lot lol. No surgery though.”
