Beyoncé Celebrates 20 Years of ‘B’Day’ With Deluxe Anniversary Edition

Beyoncé is taking us back to one of the most defining eras of her career.

Parkwood Entertainment and Shop Beyoncé have officially announced the 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of B’Day, celebrating two decades since Beyoncé released her sophomore solo album and continued establishing herself as a force all her own.

Originally released in September 2006, B’Day arrived during a pivotal moment in Beyoncé’s career. The project delivered records including “Déjà Vu,” “Ring the Alarm,” “Irreplaceable,” “Get Me Bodied,” “Upgrade U” and “Beautiful Liar,” while showcasing the powerhouse vocals, commanding performances and larger-than-life visuals that would become signatures of her artistry.

But B’Day was bigger than the music. The era helped establish Beyoncé’s commitment to making the visual experience just as important as the album itself. From choreography and fashion to a collection of music videos that eventually became the B’Day Anthology Video Album, Beyoncé was already building the blueprint for the visual storytelling that would continue throughout her career.

Twenty years later, the influence of that era still feels present.

For the anniversary announcement, Beyoncé reached directly into the B’Day archives, bringing back imagery from the era as Parkwood confirmed that the deluxe anniversary edition is officially available for pre-order.

Two decades later, B’Day remains a reminder of a young Beyoncé who wasn’t simply chasing the moment — she was building the standard she would spend the next 20 years continuing to raise.
