Aubrey O’Day Says She Won’t Testify in Diddy Federal Trial

Aubrey O’Day, former member of the girl group Danity Kane and breakout star of MTV’s Making the Band, has confirmed she will not be taking the witness stand in the ongoing federal trial of music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.

In the premiere episode of a new podcast focused on the high-profile case, O’Day shared the news with hosts T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach. Despite her close history with Diddy — who created and managed Danity Kane through his label Bad Boy Records — O’Day made it clear that she will not be directly participating in the trial proceedings.

“I will not be taking the stand,” O’Day said, declining to elaborate further on her decision but hinting at the complexities surrounding her past with Combs and the music industry at large.

The revelation comes amid intense scrutiny of Combs, who faces serious federal charges, including sex trafficking and obstruction. While several former associates and insiders have testified or are expected to, O’Day’s absence from the witness list marks a notable shift given her long-standing criticism of Combs’ business practices and behavior.

Over the years, O’Day has been outspoken about her experience with Bad Boy Records and her time under Diddy’s mentorship, calling attention to what she described as exploitative industry practices and power imbalances.
