Anthony Edwards Ordered To Pay $14K A Month In Child Support For Son He Says He’s Never Met

Anthony Edwards is facing a major child-support bill. 💰🏀

The Minnesota Timberwolves star has been ordered to pay approximately $14,000 per month in child support to his ex, Alexandria Descroches, for their son, Amir — a child court documents say Edwards has never met in person.

According to court documents, the amount was calculated based on Edwards’ reported monthly income of nearly $4.8 million. That’s a major jump from the baseline child-support amount of roughly $3,200 per month.

COURT BREAKS DOWN ANTHONY’S MONEY

Alexandria reportedly earns around $1,016 per month and told the court she hopes to finish college so she can eventually improve her ability to financially support their child.

The court also noted Edwards’ reported monthly spending, including approximately:

• $31,000 on food
• $70,000 on entertainment
• $30,000 on vacations

Based on his financial situation, the judge determined that a substantially higher child-support payment was appropriate.

EDWARDS HAS NEVER MET HIS SON

Alexandria and Edwards share a son named Amir, who was born in 2023.

According to the court documents, Edwards acknowledged under oath that he has never met Amir in person and is not currently seeking parenting time with the child.

In addition to the monthly support, the judge ordered Edwards to maintain a life-insurance policy worth approximately $2.6 million, with Alexandria named as the primary beneficiary.

Edwards was also ordered to pay more than $21,000 in Alexandria’s legal fees.

THIS ISN’T HIS ONLY CHILD-SUPPORT CASE

The latest order comes after Edwards was previously ordered to pay $3,000 to another former partner, Ayesha Howard, in connection with their daughter.

Now, Edwards is facing another significant monthly obligation as his NBA career continues to bring in millions.
