💔 RHOSLC Star Mary Cosby’s Son Robert Jr. Dead at 23 Following Reported Medical Emergency

Tragic news out of Utah.

The son of Mary Cosby from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City has passed away at just 23 years old.

According to reports, Robert Jr. died Monday night in Utah. Salt Lake City police confirmed they responded to a call regarding a “full arrest/medical emergency” involving a 23-year-old male. Fire and paramedics were dispatched to the scene. Authorities say what initially appeared to be a possible overdose became a death investigation upon arrival. The official cause of death has not yet been confirmed.

His passing comes just months after his wife, Alexiana Smokoff, filed for divorce.

Fans of RHOSLC may remember Robert appearing on the show several times. During Season 4, a major storyline involved Mary discovering that Robert had secretly married Alexiana in August 2022 at a Utah courthouse. The show also addressed concerns about Robert and Alexiana’s alleged struggles with substance abuse as part of Mary’s emotional storyline.

Robert had also faced legal troubles in recent years. He was arrested in September in Utah on allegations including trespassing and assault. In 2022, he was arrested for DUI and later pleaded guilty after police said he was driving without a valid license and violating traffic laws.

“Our beloved son Robert Jr. has been called home to the Lord. Though our hearts ache, we take comfort in God’s promise and in knowing he is finally at peace. We are grateful for your prayers and trust in the Lord to carry us through this time of sorrow.”
