🏠💰 Kimora Lee Simmons in $25M Mansion Showdown — Beverly Hills Home Tied to 1MDB Scandal

Fashion mogul and reality star Kimora Lee Simmons is facing growing scrutiny over a $25 million Beverly Hills mansion at the center of a heated legal dispute tied to the massive 1MDB financial scandal.

According to reports, Simmons has been living in the seven-bedroom estate for the past five years without paying rent or mortgage payments. The property was purchased in 2017 by her estranged husband, Tim Leissner, who later admitted under oath that he used funds stolen from Malaysia’s sovereign wealth fund, 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), to buy the home.

Leissner pleaded guilty years ago for his role in the $4.5 billion 1MDB fraud scheme and recently reported to federal prison in Allentown, Pennsylvania. During court testimony in the Brooklyn trial of former Goldman Sachs banker Roger Ng — who is now serving a 10-year sentence — Leissner admitted the Beverly Hills mansion was purchased with stolen funds.

Simmons, however, has not been accused of any involvement in the fraud.

The dispute intensified after Leissner allegedly sold the estate to real estate billionaires David and Simon Reuben in what Simmons claims was a fraudulent deal involving a distressed refinancing and sale-leaseback arrangement. Court filings indicate the agreement requires roughly $67,000 in monthly payments.

Simmons has reportedly refused to vacate the property, arguing issues surrounding the legitimacy of the sale. The mansion has even appeared on her reality series, “Kimora: Back in the Fab Lane,” adding another layer of public interest to the case.

The former Baby Phat founder separated from Leissner in 2022 after revelations that he falsified details about a prior divorce before marrying her. Since then, the pair have remained locked in legal battles over multimillion-dollar assets connected to the 1MDB scandal.

While other high-profile figures — including Leonardo DiCaprio — returned luxury gifts linked to the fraud, Simmons’ continued residence in the Beverly Hills mansion has become a focal point of ongoing civil litigation.

The case is set to reach a key moment at a February 25 trial-setting conference, where the next steps in the property dispute will be determined.

For now, the mansion remains both a symbol of luxury — and a reminder of one of the biggest financial scandals in recent history.
