Shannon Sharpe & Chad Ochocinco Slapped with $20M Lawsuit Over Alleged Usher Concert Lies

Shannon Sharpe just can’t seem to stay out of court — and this time, he’s not alone. According to The Sun US, Jimalita Tillman is suing Sharpe, Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, and Shay Shay Media for $20 million, claiming they spread false and damaging rumors about her during an episode of the NightCap podcast.

Tillman went viral back on April 2, 2025, after a fan interaction moment at an Usher concert. Not long after, she says Sharpe and Ochocinco discussed her on NightCap, claiming she was a married woman whose husband filed for divorce because of that concert moment.

But Tillman says none of that is true.

“I am not married, nor am I currently going through a divorce,” she stated in court docs.

She claims she tried to set the record straight through national media appearances, but says the defendants continued posting the false story across their platforms — reaching millions of viewers.

“I made numerous efforts to contact the defendants to request the removal of this false narrative, but these requests were disregarded,” Tillman says.

According to her, the repeated false claims caused serious damage to her character, reputation, and emotional well-being. She accuses Sharpe, Ochocinco, and Shay Shay Media of acting with “reckless disregard for the truth” and is demanding $20 million in damages.

Neither Sharpe nor Ochocinco has publicly responded to the lawsuit yet.
