Smokey Robinson’s 5th Alleged Victim Files Police Report, Claims Sexual Battery

A fifth woman has officially come forward accusing Motown legend Smokey Robinson of sexual battery, TMZ has learned—adding new weight to an already high-profile criminal investigation.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the woman filed her report last Wednesday at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Malibu/Lost Hills station, where she formally detailed her allegations against the 85-year-old music icon.

This marks the fifth report filed with the LASD’s Special Victims Bureau, which launched its criminal investigation into Robinson back in May after four women—represented by the same legal team—came forward with accusations of sexual assault.

Robinson’s attorney, Christopher Frost, responded to the latest development, telling TMZ:

“It’s not surprising to us that in the context of very public allegations by the four interconnected Jane Does and their shared attorneys—no matter how untrue—news like this might emerge. It’s one of the risks of being a celebrity, that others will take the same approach.”

Frost maintains that the accusations are part of a calculated legal strategy rather than legitimate claims, citing that all police reports were filed only after the initial group of women launched a $50 million civil lawsuit.

“Our focus is on exposing the falsity of the Doe lawsuit,” he added, alleging that the accusers have refused to reveal their identities or sit for depositions.

Robinson, known for hits like “Cruisin’” and “Tears of a Clown,” has denied all allegations. Frost previously said the singer welcomes the ongoing investigation, confident it will ultimately vindicate his client.

As of now, the LASD continues to gather evidence and interview witnesses tied to the case. No charges have been filed.

TMZ has reached out to John Harris and Herbert Hayden, the attorneys representing the original four accusers. As of publication, they have not returned requests for comment.
