Trippie Redd Arrested at Miami Airport While Attempting to Board International Flight, Weeks After Welcoming Child with Coi Leray

Rapper Trippie Redd was arrested on Friday (July 4) at Miami International Airport just weeks after celebrating the birth of his child with fellow artist Coi Leray. According to WPLG News, the 26-year-old Ohio native was taken into custody at approximately 4:50 p.m. at Terminal J, where he was preparing to board a flight to Europe.

Authorities say U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers discovered Redd had an active Miami-Dade County bench warrant while he was at Gate 17. The warrant, issued in 2023, stemmed from an incident involving an invalid driver’s license.

The rapper, who currently resides in Southwest Ranches, Florida, was reportedly en route to France with plans to perform at the Les Ardentes music festival in Belgium, where he was listed as a Saturday headliner.

Redd was booked at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on Thursday (July 3) and was later released on a $150 bond, according to officials with the Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation Department.
