Reality TV star Amy Luciano, whose legal name is Amber Howard, has officially filed for divorce from NBA veteran Dwight Howard, ending their marriage just six months after tying the knot.

According to court documents filed on June 30, 2025, in Georgia, Amber is seeking a total divorce, citing that the marriage is “irretrievably broken” with “no prospects for reconciliation.” The couple, who were married on January 11, 2025, have reportedly been separated as of the date of filing.

In the divorce complaint, Amber requests equitable distribution of marital assets and debts, as well as temporary and permanent alimony in various forms—including periodic, lump sum, and in-kind payments. She also asks the court to order Dwight to cover legal expenses, including attorney’s fees and court costs.

The documents make clear that there are no children from the marriage and none expected. Furthermore, Amber reserves the right to amend the complaint to include additional grounds for divorce, as permitted by Georgia law.

The complaint also includes statutory warnings under Georgia law (O.C.G.A. § 19-6-1(e) and O.C.G.A. § 19-5-7), prohibiting either party from making substantial changes to their financial assets or transferring property in a way that could affect the divorce proceedings.

Dwight Howard has not yet made a public statement regarding the filing. The former NBA All-Star has faced legal scrutiny and relationship controversies in recent years, while Amber rose to reality TV fame through her appearances on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, becoming a fan favorite for her outspoken personality and glamorous lifestyle.

This split marks another high-profile breakup in the reality TV and sports world, drawing public attention to a whirlwind romance that’s come to a quick and official end.
